Q:  Is the FIRM-FILL product utilized for both indoor and outdoor applications?
A:  Strictly for interior use only and must be covered with carpet, vinyl, etc.  Not a wear surface.  The product is not designed for use on exteriors.

Q:  Can I purchase a few bags of material for trial use?
A:  No, FIRM-FILL is mixed on-site and applied only by licensed applicators in your area.

Q:  What is the typical structure using FIRM-FILL?
A:  Generally, the upper floors of two to four-story wood frame buildings such as apartments, condominiums, motels, retirement centers, and custom homes.

Q:  What are some other types of building applications?
A:  Leveling of existing uneven floors, partial replacement and patching of distressed and cracking gypsum floors, and over radiant-heating systems.

Q:  How do I prepare the floor for installation?

Q:  What amount of time is necessary of the product to harden before use?
A:  Depending on the ventilation and humidity factors, most finished FIRM-FILL floors can be walked on in 90 minutes after installation.  Carpet, vinyl, or tile can generally be applied over finished FIRM-FILL within 5-7 days after installation.  For more information, see our Post Pour checklist.

Q:  What are some of the advantages of using FIRM-FILL?
A:  Cost and time efficient way of providing fire and sound control in multi-family units.

Q:  Why are there several different types of FIRM-FILL materials?
A:  Different mixes are available for varying strength requirements, from 1200 PSI to 5500 PSI.
